Welcome Emily Patch to the SockMine team.
Emily Patch is a 19-year-old triathlete and chemistry student at Nottingham Trent University. Despite only taking up the sport in early 2014, Emily quickly became obsessed with Triathlon. In her first competitive race, she secured first place in the under 20’s category. Building on this amazing start, Emily then qualified for the European GB AG team in only her second triathlon. And in her third, she went on to qualify for the 2015 World GB AG team. It was evident she was a natural at the sport.
At the 2015 Europeans held in Geneva, Emily achieved 12th place in the under 20’s age category. An incredible result considering it was her first international triathlon. One year later in Lisbon, Emily bettered this result by placing sixth in the under 20’s age group.
Other than this amazing achievement, in 2016 Emily has competed in three elite races in the Junior Elite Super Series, picking up some great results. Emily has also set several PB’s this year and picked up many AG wins along the way. More recently, Emily topped all of these results by becoming the U20 British Standard Distance AG Champion.
We are thrilled to have Emily on board here at SockMine HQ and look forward to helping her achieve even more in 2017.
